MSI E350IA-E45 is a motherboard with integrated processor. The same design as the Intel Atom motherboard design. With such a design, impossible to upgrade the processor because the processor is embedded permanently. For the processor, MSI decided to use the Brazos dual core AMD processors, AMD E-350 that runs at 1.6 GHz clock speed. By using dual core processors, support for multi-tasking will be better than the single core processor. As low-power motherboard design to other platforms, one of the MSI products is also using the Mini ITX form factor.

AMD E-350 has integrated graphics contained in the processor die. The integrated graphics card is Radeon 6310 with support DirectX 11. Performance is very good for the size of the onboard graphics, by printing a test score of 730 points in 3D Mark Vantage. The result was higher than the onboard graphics are never tested before. For onboard graphics output MSI provides port D-Sub and HDMI which is located on the backpanel. Section is also equipped with two USB 3.0 slots blue to distinguish it with USB 2.0 port.

For this product, MSI provides two types of DIMM RAM slot located next to the processor DIMM. Use DIMM slots provide a little problem on the other, locking the RAM is located very close to the PCIe 16x. If you install a graphics card in the slot, locking the RAM will crash and you cannot install or remove RAM. That way, you need to remove the graphics card first before installing or removing RAM. The price for this motherboard is only $140, you can buy it through Amazon US, just visit this page to buy.

AMD 890 chipset series is already quite long. The chipset was launched last year and is now almost get into the end of his life. At the same time, AMD now has plans to issue a new line of processors. Of course the processor has been combined with the latest chipset. Even so, many motherboard manufacturers are producing boards using AMD 890GX chipset. However, the board has added several new features. One manufacturer who tried this motherboard is ASUS.

ASUS tried to add support for USB 3.0 technology in their product. It can be seen clearly from its name that contains the word “USB3″. ASUS uses the NEC chip that has the outputs on the backpanel, seen two USB 3.0 slots. As manufacturers of motherboards in general, ASUS designed the port is in blue to distinguish the ports with a USB 2.0 port. In addition to the USB port on the backpanel output port also has an onboard graphics chipset, the AMD 890GX. To increase the power of the onboard graphics, ASUS has included sideport 128MB memory. Aside from sideport memory, onboard graphics power can also be increased by raising the onboard graphics core clock speed and memory sideport through the motherboard BIOS.

Not only that, ASUS also includes two PCIe 16x slots as an alternative for users who are not satisfied with the performance of onboard graphics provided. However, PCIe configuration is slightly different from the other board. ASUS designed the primary PCIe slot is at the bottom. To maximize the bandwidth of PCIe slots, you need to plug a switch card that is available in the sales package in the secondary PCIe slot which is located at the top. If it is not done, bandwidths obtained only 8x or equal to 4 Gbps.

Other feature that ASUS included on this board is the Core Unlocker is a feature to open core AMD processors in certain types. Facilitate the user in turn on these features, ASUS includes a switch which is located next to the RAM slots. With overclocking features are abundant, it’s really a pity if this product is executed with processor and graphics card to run normally. The price for this motherboard is only $150, you can buy it through Amazon US, just visit this page to buy.

The development of the motherboard market very rapidly with a form factor Mini-ITX motherboard make many brands trying to break into that market with its product is Muscle Power MP-M16150SE-UC3. For this product, Muscle Power trying to position them in the value segment. It could not be separated from at an affordable price for the size of a board with Mini-ITX form factor. An affordable price, of course, not possible without a reduction in features or changes to part with a cheaper price. It is most felt on this board are using chipsets which are quite old. The chipset used on this board is NVIDIA MPC61. MPC61 is a chipset that was launched when the socket AM2 AMD platform still triumphed. When it MPC61 chipset positioned as a value that has an onboard NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE graphics. Although the first chipset to work on systems with socket AM2 with little modification, MPC61 chipset still able to work with socket AM3. This can occur because of AMD’s memory controller system does not depend on the chipset used.

But unlike the board with Mini-ITX factor from others who take the ram type SODIMM. This board is still sticking with type memory DIMMs. Although seized a big place, kind of DIMM memory allows a higher overclocking potential than the type of SODIMM memory. In the BIOS overclocking menu included typical MusclePower there that is named “OC Yuk!!!”.

As noted previously, the NVIDIA MPC61 chipset is a chipset that has onboard graphics GeForce 615OSE. GeForce 615OSE an onboard graphics that only supports DirectX 9c technology. For the output of the onboard graphics, Muscle Power only gives D-Sub connector. As an alternative, Muscle Power provides an alternative by providing a 16x PCIe slot to install a more powerful graphics card. In PCMark Vantage test result, this motherboard recorded disappointing results, especially on gaming tests. The result is low. However, it is reasonable because the testing process conducted by an onboard graphics that are used relatively old and have low performance.

The word “monster” is often associated with something that has a large physical size, strong and scary. Now, the word is given to one of series motherboards from PCP + AB5S Monsterboard. Bearing the word “monster” will certainly intriguing everyone who hears the name, many people who certainly would think that this will Monsterboard mighty as the name of a feature abundant. That’s what HARDVIEW feel when hearing the name. However, when HARDVIEW see the shape of this board, it feels much different view. PCP + designing this board using the micro ATX form factor that makes it looks small and not as the name suggests.

The same thing happened on the main chipset of this motherboard. At a time when many other board manufacturers to design products with a blend of the latest chipset, PCP + still use AMD 880G chipset combined with the SB 710 southbridge which is a long time. This makes the board is behind in terms of storage technology for SB 710 only supports the use of SATA 2. In contrast to SB 850 that supports SATA 3 technology. This motherboard also left over a USB connection. For this board, PCP + still not using USB 3.0 technology that is now become a hot product.

On the other hand, this board came up with the cooling of large, mainly on the chipset and mosfet heatsinks. Although no heatpipe equipped, temperature out of the mosfet and chipset can be maintained so as not to cause symptoms are not stable when the board is undergoing the testing process. For expansion slots, PCP + try to give two 16x PCIe slots to support CrossFireX technology. Innovations that deserve to be taken into account, given very little board on the market that multi-GPU support member on board with micro ATX form factor. In addition, PCP + also provides the power button, reset and LED post code. The test results showed no special results because the results obtained differ only thin with a kind of board-board chipset. Although the bundle is provided in the sales package is very minimal, Multi-GPU support innovation given proper counts.

Formerly ASRock is an entry-class motherboard, with unique features, including dual graphics card socket or support with three interfaces that can be run simultaneously. However, ASRock transformed into a manufacturer of motherboards that cannot be underestimated. This can be seen through its high performance product, which comes with various features abundant. One is the motherboard that comes to HARDVIEW, ASRock X58 Extreme6. Bringing Extreme6 series, this product is designed to extremes by ASRock to support the fastest current technology, namely six-core processor, USB 3.0 and SATA3 technology. To achieve this goal, ASRock provides six USB 3.0 ports with four ports located on the backpanel and the two ports is allocated as a USB 3.0 port headers on this board.

To facilitate the use of these headers, ASRock provides a USB 3.0 bracket that can be placed on the front panel of the casing or on the backpanel. As for the slot SATA3, ASRock also provides six SATA 3 slot. The sixth slot is parallel to the six SATA3 SATA2 slots, so the number of SATA slots on this board to 12 slots. The number of lots for the size of the present board. For expansion slots, this board provides support for 3-Way SLI and 3-Way CrossFireX. For that, ASRock offers three PCIe slots. Location of the PCIe slots is pretty good, because ASRock put PCIe slots with a spacing of two slots. This design makes you do not have to worry about when using the graphics card more than one card in multi GPU configuration does not have sufficient fresh air to cool the graphics card.

As a solution to cooling the chipset, ASRock still rely on fanless cooling solution with a heatpipe between the chipset and mosfet. Although it is a fanless cooling, the resulting temperature can still be tolerated. In addition to an abundance of features, this board is also proved that he deserved Sysmark selected through the test results are slightly above average Intel X58 board ever HARDVIEW test. However, for those who need all the features, storage ports are so abundant, and optimal performance, necessarily test results will not deter you to buy this board is not it?

AMD 880G Chipset still get a positive response from the motherboard manufacturer. Evidenced by the many motherboards that are equipped with these chipsets. One is the ECS that is now coming back with a new motherboard, A885GM-A2. For the board, this time ECS chose a green theme in designing this board. You can see logo “green touch, good life” in the box board. In addition, ECS also designed this board with a green PCB which makes it look interesting. ECS also includes three LEDs that will inform the condition of the load on the power regulators that supply power to the processor. Of course, these LEDs will also make this board look attractive when it is turned on.

Unlike ECS Black Series board with AMD 880G chipset ever HARDVIEW previous tests, this board using the chip SB 850 as the Southbridge. Use of Southbridge SB850 would make this board beat ECS Black Series especially in the use of storage technology, SATA 3. In addition to differences in the use Southbridge chip, ECS also designed this board to provide two 16x PCIe slots to support CrossFireX mode. CrossFireX addition, this board also supports Hybrid CrossFireX, because on this board have onboard graphics AMD Radeon HD 4250 from AMD 880G chipset. For onboard graphics output, as well as board ECS Black Series, ECS provides only a DVI port and D-Sub, without the HDMI port.

Physically, this board looks very simple. The apparent simplicity of the design heatsinks is used. ECS provides only a simple heatsink to cool the chipset and Southbridge, while for the mosfet is left open without the necessary cooling. Even so, the heat generated by the chipset has been reduced by either the heatsink it. Simplicity is also evident from the sales package in this board, ECS only provide the SATA cable in addition to the driver disc and manual book, without any enhancement. Although physically, this board looks less convincing. However, the test results achieved this board is quite high. Noted, this board produces score 192 points and 6939 points for testing SysMark 2007 and PCMark Vantage. Relatively high scores for 880G board.

ECS was originally a manufacturer of motherboards with minimalist features and an affordable price. However, when a lot of motherboard manufacturers who make the board with abundant features, ECS also do not want to miss. Proved with the launch of the board labeled “Black Series”. With the different naming of the board normally, ECS tried to inculcate a feature that is not going in the can on the other boards. For this time, ECS Black Series boards to bring back the latest mainstream chipset that was driven by AMD, the AMD 880G. Although it has the AMD 880G chipset which pertained mainly driven new chipsets, ECS chose to pair with SB 710 chipset which has long been launched. As the impact of SB 710 is the loss of electoral support for SATA 3 technology. This caused 3 to SATA technology currently only supported by SB 850. While SB 710 is limited to SATA2 technology. However, turnover southbridge not significantly affect the technology carried by the AMD 880G chipset. Like a board with AMD 880G chipset, this board also has onboard graphics of the AMD Radeon HD 4250.

For problems outputs onboard graphics contained in the chipset, the ECS provides DVI and D-Sub. It is unfortunate in this product ECS did not include an HDMI connector, such as products with a similar chipset that ever comes to HARDVIEW Test Center. On the side of the expansion slots, ECS only provides a 16x PCIe slot. These limitations make this board only supports the use of mode without support Hybrid CrossFireX CrossFireX.

To cool the hot components like the chipset and Southbridge, ECS installing passive heatsink that looks really simple. For the performance itself is not satisfactory because the heatsink was hot as this board works. However, with a simple form you can freely set up a large processor cooler without worrying about conflicting. In Sysmark test, it achieved a score board 184 and the testing PCMark Vantage score of 6640 get. While the 3DMark Vantage test, it achieved a score board which does not differ with onboard graphics memory without SidePort majority, ie 283 points.

X58 chipset is a chipset is quite old because it had long been released, exactly when the Core i7 launch. However, this chipset does not just be underestimated. This is because of its combination with the Core i7 processors still be the fastest to date. Therefore, there are still many manufacturers who try to present the newest products with the Intel X58 chipset-based. This time the ECS is trying to bring latest Black Series board with that chipset. As the name implies, this product supports the use of SLI mode. To that end, ECS includes two PCIe 16x slots on this board. In addition to PCIe 16x slots, ECS also includes a 4x PCIe slot, two PCIe 1x slots and one PCI slot.

In addition to support the use SLI mode, ECS also do not want left behind by its competitors by including a six-core processor support for Intel’s. In addition to the hardware support is, in general there is nothing to distinguish this board with ECS board with the Intel X58 chipset before. It is unfortunate that ECS did not include a feature that is now frequently appears as a superior product from competitors, such as support for eSATA and USB 3.0. For the problem of cooling, heatsink design ECS board uses a large enough heatsink. At first glance looks like a cooler which included copper-based. However, if viewed more closely, the cooling that came with a layer of aluminum-based paint color likes copper. Performance is good enough to reduce heat heatsink board as it passes through tests conducted on a state of default.

To help diagnose errors that occur on board, the ECS include the Debug LED. The feature is useless because in the manual that came, ECS does not include the meaning of the Debug LED located on the board, so it will be confusing users of this board. In addition, ECS also includes a feature M.I.B. Feature is on the BIOS menu that provides options for overclocking on the processor and memory. In the test results, this board is scored score 196 points in SysMark and 8407 points in PCMark Vantage. These results are not much different from other Intel X58 chipset board.

At first, the Mini-ITX platform began to be used when Intel introduced the nettop as miniPC. MiniPC has advantages in energy consumption and less space used to place the Mini-ITX chassis. The platform created nettop, Intel installed a dual-core Intel Atom processor which is claimed to have higher performance than Intel Atom single-core which is used in netbooks. Although claimed to have higher performance than Intel Atom single-core processors, many users are disappointed with their performance. Many users expect Mini-ITX platforms that have high performance. J & W tried to answer this need through its products, MINIX. MINIX is a name given by J & W for mini-sized products such as Mini-ITX board and a netbook.

In Mini-ITX board, J & W uses the AMD 785G chipset and SB710 southbridge. As a board that uses AMD AMD785G chipset, this board also has onboard graphics AMD Radeon 4200. To increase the power of the onboard graphics, J & W has also added SidePort memory of 128 MB which is located adjacent to the processor socket. As a result, this board produces score 224 points in 3D Mark Vantage.

As a solution of low onboard graphics is provided, the J & W also provides a 16x PCIe slot running at 8x speed. The limited size makes the location of the chipset and the southbridge close together, so that both are only cooled by a large passive heatsink. In addition, the location of the port that is provided is also too close to another port, one of which is the SATA ports. In addition to the location of the SATA ports adjacent to each other, the number of ports is also reduced from normal, the original 6 ports to 4 ports. When HARDVIEW testing this board, there was a strangeness that is quite surprising. Board is able to live with AMD Phenom X4 II 955BE which is rated for 140 W TDP Whereas in the website, this board only supports up to TDP 65 W. Surprise from J & W board visible from the BIOS that is included. In the BIOS there are a lot of overclocking options are fairly complete.

JETWAY is one of the old motherboard manufacturers as an OEM manufacturer of other motherboards. This time JETWAY tries again enliven the lineup motherboards powered by AMD 880G chipset and release board model number MA3-880GP-LF. Although JETWAY was using AMD 880G chipset is still relatively new, JETWAY prefer to pair it with the southbridge chipset which had long been launched, the SB710. As a consequence the selection of SB 710, this board is only capable of supporting of SATA 2. For onboard graphics outputs that are owned by AMD 880G chipset, JETWAY provides port D-Sub, DVI, and HDMI. While on the audio side, JETWAY provides 5.1 channel audio driven by Realtek ALC662 chip.

Like most boards with a chipset that has onboard graphics, JETWAY designing this board with a micro ATX form factor. Selection of a micro ATX form factor board sometimes created a layout that looks crowded. It is also experienced by this board. This board has only two RAM slots that can accommodate up to 8 GB RAM capacity. In addition to the limitations of the RAM slots, this board also provides a limited expansion slots. For this board, JETWAY only includes one PCIe 16x slot and two PCI slots. Even so, the layout of this board deserves thumbs up because there was no problem on the slot cover or coincides with each other as is often experienced by the other board.

HARADVIEW doing tests on this board, test results are high for the size of the board with AMD 880G chipset. In PC Mark Vantage tests, this board got score 7079 points and the testing SysMark, this board is to produce a score 187. While in 3D Mark Vantage test, AMD Radeon 4250 owned by this board to produce a score 409 points. Certainly the acquisition of such a high score cannot be separated from the role SidePort memory of 128 MB which JETWAY included to assist the performance of onboard graphics board. Despite having high performance boards that class size, JETWAY only provide a minimal bundle. Bundle included are two SATA cables, drivers, and a piece of paper containing the specifications and layout diagram of this board.
